Challenges in the area of public security are complex problems that do not have an immediate solution. Based on this premise, CCAS understands that it is necessary to have an iterative project formulation process that allows the use of science to analyze, design, test and evaluate programs to address central problems in the security area. Thus, CCAS supports the entire process of the public policy cycle, from data collection and systematization, problem identification, program design and evaluation.
The projects are distributed across three areas of activity, which prioritize central public problems in the public security and justice debate in Brazil:
- Management and Governance
- Combating crime
- Crime and violence prevention
