Management and governance

The effectiveness of the Public Security and Criminal Justice System affects the probability and severity with which an offender can be identified and penalized. 

CCAS seeks to offer: 

(i) support for the development and use of technologies to support criminal analysis, police allocation, crime investigation and supervision of police work;
(ii) creation of results-based management systems based on objective performance indicators of operational units; 
(iii) support in the design of new methods of internal and external control of police activity; 
(iv) preparation of municipal and state public security plans.

Evaluation of the use of body cameras by the São Paulo Military Police 

Goal: To evaluate the impact of the use of body cameras on the use of force, crime rates, police efforts and perceptions of police conduct. 

Partners: Military Police of the State of São Paulo (Polícia Militar do Estado de São Paulo - PMESP).
