Efficiently combating criminal groups and organizations requires understanding how they are organized, their networks of influence, sources of revenue and expansion patterns.
CCAS seeks to work with:
(i) use of data intelligence to characterize and understand the operation of criminal groups;
(ii) analysis of programs to combat crime;
(iii) formulation of new strategies to combat organized crime.

Criminal governance in Rio de Janeiro’s favelas during the Covid-19 pandemic
Objective: To carry out research with the population living in favelas in order to obtain information about the presence of criminal groups in communities, criminal governance practices and actions to combat the COVID-19 pandemic.
